About Odoo Essentials

Welcome to the Odoo Essentials website. My name is Daniel Reis, and since the writing of the original Odoo Development Essentials book I have feedback on people who the book has helped to quickly be productive with Odoo.

Tying that to the growing number of people working with Odoo, there is a need for content that helps navigate the Odoo ecosystem and build effective Odoo solutions.

This website aims to be a relevant piece for that puzzle.

Implementing an effective Odoo solution is more about solving real business problems than it is to develop features. So that's something we would like to keep in mind here. There will be technical topics covered for sure. But the scope of what is needed goes beyond that, and cover anything needed to arrive at working solutions that solve people's everyday needs, preferably in a way that is joyful to use.
